Tigh nan Shian is located in Culkein on the Stoer peninsula in Assynt, Sutherland, Highlands of Scotland. The house is about two hours drive from Inverness, which is served with a Mainline Railway station and International Airport. It also has good bus links. Directions From Stoer Turnoff
Leave the B869 at the Stoer Village Hall, turning left if approaching from the south (Lochinver) or right if coming from the north (Drumbeg). The road is signposted to the "Stoerhead Lighthouse" and "Point of Stoer". Continue on this road along the Stoer Peninsula until you eventually come down to the beach at Culkein Bay. Now take the first (unsignposted) turning on the left. Continue up this road for about 500m until you cross a cattle grid and the road takes a sharp right. Tigh Nan Shian is on your left.
